THE TWEED - Originally built as a paddlewheel steamer in 1852 called 'Punjaub". She was converted to a sailing ship in 1862 and became a regular passenger ship in the Australian run. This painting won the "Thomas Wells Award 2004" at the Annual Internation Art Exhibition held at Mystic Seaport, USA. Dimensions: Oil of canvas 36 x 24"
THERMOPYLAE AND LEANDER - China tea clippers, 1868. Loaded with tea for Britian "Leander" was very well away in the annual race when "Thermopylae" who had left China some days later looked up astern. She passed Leander within hailing distance and went on to be the first home. Dimensions: Oil on canvas 36 x 24"
BATTLE OF TRAFALGAR Lord Nelson's famous victory in 1805, the painting depicts Lord Collingwood's ship "Royal Sovereign" alongside the giant Spanish ship "Santa Ana'. "Royal Sovereigh" survived although she received a terrible battering. Dimensions: Oil on canvas 45 x 36"
